Need any help with using the Build Your Library curriculum? We got you covered!

FAQs

For general questions on any facet of our secular, literature based homeschool curriculum, we may have already answered them on our BYL Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page.

For general questions about our Read Aloud Book Club packs, please refer to our RABC FAQ page as a starting point.

For general questions about our Family Reading Crates, please refer to our Crate FAQ page as a starting point.

Facebook Groups

For level specific questions, tips and tricks from those using the same level, or general motivation and encouragement from current BYL users, we have several Build Your Library Facebook support groups you could join. We have a main group for all families, as well as several sub-groups of specific level ranges.

One of the key features of BYL is the flexibility afforded to families in acquiring the materials listed in the booklists. We have all of the required books linked to Amazon for your convenience, but you could also find these titles at your local used book stores, public library or other online discount book sellers. However, another option is the BYL Book Swap Facebook group where you may find other BYL customers selling used books or looking for them.

A Literary Education BookIf you are wondering how to make the Charlotte Mason philosophy work in your modern secular homeschool, this is the book for you. In A Literary Education: Adapting Charlotte Mason for Modern Secular Homeschooling, I share my 14+ year homeschool journey and how I have adapted her methods to work with my children, and how that can help you with yours.
