Freebie – Spelling Task Cards

Spelling – one of the most important subjects, yet it also can be one of the most boring. I like to keep things fun and different, so in the spirit of my Narration cards used in every Build Your Library program, I created spelling task cards.
Each card has a different activity to do with your word list. The activities range from writing each word in a sentence to playing hangman. This works with any spelling program – whether you use a traditional program with a list of words to learn each week or if you pull words from dictation and copywork passages.
Just print the cards on card stock, cut them out and place them in a small basket or bowl. Then, have your child choose a task card for their spelling practice each day. It’s simple, yet fun!
