In between fascinating shows about Megalodon, Hammerheads and zombie sharks, you and your child can learn about shark anatomy, different shark species, how to be safe while swimming in the ocean and so much more. There are over 20 hours of shark related excitement for you to explore on the Discovery Channel to supplement our Unit Study!
Our sharks unit study includes a complete schedule, book list, documentary list, helpful internet links, copywork/dictation assignments, vocabulary, and writing assignments. There is also a variety of projects, including 11 notebooking pages. It is scheduled over 3 weeks, but can easily be stretched to last longer if you only do 2 – 3 lessons per week. You can even purchase a 2-foot dogfish shark to do a anatomy dissection activity!
