2025 Build Your Library Reading Challenge

December 13, 2024

December has always been one of my favorite months. Of course, it’s the holiday season, but I also enjoy making goals and planning for the new year. I love setting reading challenge goals for myself and I try to encourage my children to do the same, with various degrees of success.

For the past six years, we have been creating Build Your Library Reading Challenges. It’s a fun activity that my oldest daughter and I collaborate on. We love to brainstorm fun reading challenges that everyone in the family can do.

I still have two prompts to go for this year’s Reading Through History challenge, but I plan to finish it up before the month is over. It has been a great year of reading history and historical fiction.

But now, it’s time to unveil the 2025 Reading Challenge….drumroll please!

This year, we are Reading Banned Books!

I can’t wait to dig into this year’s reading prompts! This year’s challenge encourages you to read from a variety of diverse perspectives, with emphasis on books that have been banned or challenged in libraries over the years. Let’s fight back against censorship in 2025!

I’m looking forward to a great year of reading, and I hope you will join me on our reading adventure!
