Summer Read-a-thon: Week 4 Activity

July 3, 2013

In addition to adoring history, I’m also a geography nerd. I love maps and learning about other countries. So, a few weeks ago, when I stumbled upon this game: GeoGuessr, I was excited. I played a few rounds, then called my kids around the computer to play. We already love Google Earth, just for the fact that we can travel the world from our computer, but now someone had the genius idea to turn it into a game!

So the activity for today is to try your hand at a few rounds of GeoGuesser! This game can be surprisingly hard! Some of those dirt roads look like they could be anywhere. I’ve been shocked a few times to guess that we were looking at African Savannah only to find out it was actually in Kansas!

Have fun exploring the world today!
