Welcome to Build Your Library Curriculum!

Build Your Library: literature based homeschool curriculum

I am a homeschool mother of four and I spent years searching for a curriculum that fit my needs.  I was sick of having to tweak each program to death to make it work for my family. Then one day, I had a revelation. It would be simpler to just write my own program!

That is when Build Your Library was born. I set to work creating the perfect, flexible homeschool curriculum. One that would fill many needs.

A Charlotte Mason inspired homeschool curriculum, but with a 21st-century twist…

I wanted a curriculum that was rich in great literature, but not just old fashioned tomes. Exceptional modern children’s literature must be included as well.  I wanted a curriculum that was history-based but didn’t drown your child in historical fiction. That made narration a priority, but In a way that was fun and easy.

I wanted a curriculum that used the actual passages from the books you and your children were reading to use as copywork in the elementary years and dictation at the upper levels.

I incorporated art study that was connected to history and includes fun art projects. In addition, I wanted to include science using living books to enhance the subject matter being studied. It was a tall order – but our children deserve this approach.

So here it is, the Build Your Library homeschool curriculum. It took 7 long years to compile, but our entire K-12 program is complete. Check out our reviews to see what others have to say about our program.

I hope you will try out a program and join the Build Your Library family. Building young minds, one book at a time!
